Computer Telephony Interation (CTI) is the ability to use your telephone from your desktop computer. 

Alcate-Lucent OmniPCX Office has its very own CTI application called PIMphony. PIMphony links the two most widely used business tools –desktop computers and telephones to provide a powerful, user-friendly phone assistant that manages your daily phone tasks from your computer.
